My morning started in the sweetest way with snuggles in bed with my 2 little buddies. We read a lovely book together at 7 am. Made
Our way downstairs to sit on the deck, my new favorite space. This place is swarming with Lantern Flies, like seriously invaded this area. Nuts! Woodley made homemade pancakes and they of course have real maple syrup, yummy! We have a nice farewell breakfast and my assistants help me get ready again, same like yesterday, with the make up , straightener etc. pack up suitcase. We head out for one last stroll on the famous trail. Its a hot humid day, sweaty drippy hot! The Blob Fest run is happening today now on the trail. People are dressed like blobs, I gotta rent this movie so I know what its all about. The black top of this trail looks like its moving as no joke, Lantern Flies are everywhere!! Disgusting! Woodley pulls one of them out of my hair, ewk, yucky! We are sweaty and head back home. Ells and Wood take me to train, I have a sad good bye. Im very tearful to leave this wonderful setting and family unit. So solid and secure. Loved spending time with my old college dear friend and her wonderful little family. It has been a dreamy 3 days- the perfect mix of culture, city, diversity, exploration, loving family time with kids.
I have now boarded an Amtrak train, I’m in the very last train car in the last seat for a 2 hour train ride. Staring out the window daydreaming, what I do best 🙂 I arrived at Penn station and jump in an Uber. Destination cousin Julie apt as I have scheduled us for a full day of meditation. She agreed happily to be my partner in crime.
Look up a place called Modrn Sanctuary. www.modrnsanctuary.com than research the Somadome…..omg! Euphoric drug trip is an understatement. This is now the new product she thinks I should sell around the world at luxury spas.
I arrived to her home, a warm embrace with my Soul Sister! We grabbed a yummy piece of White NY Pizza at her neighborhood joint as I was hungry and jumped in Uber to a magical oasis. We buzzed our way into this hidden building onto the 9 th floor entrance to a quiet space. We each have a 20 min appt for the Somadome, a mediation pod where you put on headphones, have a screen to choose a recorded sound or guided mediation topic of ur choice. Jules went first….she chose the Love guided topic. While I waited they serve tea, have a gratitude journal to write in, mandala coloring books, many books to read etc. I chose the journal and coloring book until it was my turn. Julie was so mesmorized by her experience that she very firmly suggested I choose the same. My initial choice was between Manifestation or Clarity, I chose Love by her recommendation and was glad I did 🙂
This experience was SO incredible-that the end I inquired what it would cost to purchase a Somadome for home and learned its $12-$14k. We said our good byes to the gracious guy working there. I was on a mission for meditation in NYC. Our next class starts at 3:30 😂 We walked to Inscape, the next studio we are scheduled at to transform our psyche. A 70 min sound meditation session with CBD oil, wow was this an incredible experience. I was honestly in and out of consciousness and highly recommend this and the later to anyone who visits NYC. MEDITATION PRACTICE is my newest medicine for surviving everyday life. It works for anything as everything is mind over matter, the power of your mind, is a CHOICE! Actually the latest memoir I started on the train today thanks to Danielle is, The Choice, a holocaust memoir but more along the lines of Mans Search for Meaning type of a book. This woman is freaking inspirational, as I listened to her podcast lately, the author of the book and had to get it, I plan to jump in on my plane ride home Tuesday. Oprah recommends this book too. Anyways….we headed back to Julie’s to shower, again as the humid heat here makes you sweaty. There is a bit of a breeze and is less heat than AZ, that while Sue texts saying stay away I’m in agreement.
We than got ready for our night out. Than Julie and I made our way to my favorite restaurant, Parpedelle, a spot that Danielle and I went to 1 year ago. Ironically Jules and I had the same Brazilian waitress who I remembered. Originally she didn’t remember me, until I shared more details and showed Danielle’s photo. What an impression we must have made because she finally was as excited as me and was like…..omg I totally remember, blah blah. It was so cool! Arugala / Beet salad w/ goat cheese, eggplant appetizer, the most amazing Pasta w/ truffle & Mushrooms….drooling omg goodness.
We made our way to a roof top bar, The Kimberly. A few cocktails and great conversation, the night came to a close. We got some Ben & Jerrys Ice Cream for home. Im typing in the dark while Julie is sleeping. Until tomorrow’s adventures…..my last full day awaits 🙂 Sweet Dreams to all XO

Your NYC Meditative experiences make Arizona’s Full Moon Meditation look pedestrian. Fantastic …. if only you could make a life in NYC – you seem to resonate with life and the ambiance of the Big Apple.

Back in the 80s I saw The Dodgers and Astros play at the Somadome; an amazing experience. I wasn’t able to meditate though…
