Seattle……

Feeling like a Jet-setter and very blessed! A complimentary first class upgrade was how it started. Wow, is this really my life? What a difference the concept of time, change, and miracles are in this dreamy process, called LIFE. Actually, that reminds me I wanted to share a wonderful book recommendation, “ Breathe becomes Air”. I might have shared in previous post, but want to ensure I did, as many may think it sounds depressing, yet it is beyond a meaningful story and worthy of your time. Even, Ms. Fancy T who thought she wouldn’t get into it….is almost done. Its that good and captivating. Okay…..so Seattle!

A quick 36 hours jaunt was a productive and fun escape. Checkout pairtreefamily.com This is my new company, I officially work for, as an Adoption Specialist. The first-ever tech company- site/app related to domestic adoptions. I could not have found my perfect 2 nd chapter of my career. It feels beyond, right…like a perfect puzzle piece found it’s match. The fit could not be any better. We are NOT an adoption agency, but a connection platform. It’s truly one of kind. I feel beyond grateful to be a part of this family. 💫

I had the great opportunity to spend quality time  with my CEO, Erin and my direct manager, Bo. We had so much fun, cocktails, apps, office time, and the GeekWire Holiday party at the coolest venue located in the Belltown area of downtown Seattle. I was supposed to stay at my founders cottage in Bainbridge Island, but her kids were sick, last minute she booked me at the funkiest brand new chain hotel. I’ll include photos. It was an experience in itself. Night and day to the luxury I lived in Portugal. A more trendy, techie, bizarro, fun place. Directly across from the Ferry terminal, so beautiful views of the water. But don’t forget its December in Seattle…..brrrrrr cold!❄️🥶

The party was the whose who in the Seattle Tech space, lots of men, the best people watching of all different styles, karaoke, photo booth, tarot card reader, food, drinks, a cotton candy masterpiece selections, all spread out through 2 levels. After a full day at the We Work space and a blow out, the 3 of us had a blast. One last cocktail solo for me in my hipster lobby to end the night, before turning into my cruise-like sized room. 

This Citizen M hotel is efficient with space. It’s one of these new contact-less properties. A smart room, everything was controlled on a mini I-Pad. The lights, TV, temperature, curtains, the door, check in/out, etc. A very Jetsons like hotel. My views were beautiful and I slept like a baby in the most comfortable king sized bed. 

Today was an early rise and brisk walk, to make the office for my 9 am meeting(virtually). Im loving this remote style of work. Cant wait to travel all over and work from anywhere. A wk day with Bo, he left at 1:30pm, I finished out the day til 3pm. I ventured on foot to Pikes Place Market, cant come to Seattle and not see the Flying Fish and eat some yummy food. 🐽🐽🐷🤣

Took light rail to airport and Im writing to you from the clouds, landing at midnight. Tomorrow is a 4:30am pick up to head back to the airport with Boots. Dora and Boots are headed to Savannah, Georgia. The last of my quadruple travel back to back. We have never really explored the South ,was in Georgia once with the original Shelton 5when I was 6/7…..soooo little, who remembers. And never Savannah- VERY excited. We are excited for another adventure together, Dora & Boots. Stay tuned for more Segway’s, food walking tours, and an exciting adoption reunion for me.
