I was blessed to have a half day still, this is the never ending last blog entry. Ha ha! I have once again appreciated the wonderful heart-felt comments. I honestly get SO excited when I receive a comment or personal email and share with Julie, who loves them too. We both jumped out of bed at 9, as we had an agenda. She headed off to drop off laundry and to attend the group tennis class. I headed to the breakfast to finish my blog, which you already received.
I was planning to lay by the pool, but decided I had to stare at this magical ocean for as long as possible. It was an emotional morning, I was very tearful- happy, blessed, grateful tears- for this blessed precious life I have been provided. I see my Staten Island couple on the beach. They are also sad to be leaving, their pick up is for 12:30, I have until 2:45 before the Shuttle departure. The water temperature is ridiculously refreshing in this pretend colored water. GO’s are walking around the beach handing out fresh fruit on sticks. I mean seriously We have truly lived out of a movie for 9 days. I have ZERO complaints its departure day, just sad to leave.
I swim and float on my back allowing the waves to carry me, while honestly streaming tears down my face. Yes, Im as Scorpio as you can get, its a water works day!! Thats me, the authentic, genuine, raw, Laurie Sue!! My heart feels deeply and is undeniable to be open wherever I am. My CUJ had commented about my dads “ My Way” song with a beautiful comparison to the way I live My life, My Way. Its an emotional day to say the least. All the family texts are encouraging me to extend more and stay still. I do have some work projects calling my name, while living partially retired, its time to get back to my new blessed reality of many new opportunities unfolding- stay tuned!! Dora may be boarding planes again soon, and needs to focus to ensure next years Turks CM trip can be booked soon. Next time I would like to plan to book for 10 days in advance! Julie was ready to book today. She is much more impulsive then me, I think we balance each other well. We want to do MLK week again, to ensure we can be with some of our new found crew who do this week annually as a ritual. Im hopeful after Catherines week here, she may convince Matt they need to buy a home here, we can all visit- a girl can dream! 😇🙏🏻
My body is actually very black, even for me, this tan is crazy! Julie finished her tennis lesson and wants to do her trapeze again. I stay at the beach while she goes to master the flips, jumps, and special tricks. She is becoming a pro and my bet is she will be a GM in the Trapeze show this week. Hopefully she is going to write a few updates that I can post about, as some have requested to hear about Chapter 2. She completed her activities, and we decided we needed to partake in one last “ Crazy Signs” together pool side. Aiden is a hottie snd great eye candy to follow his lead. The “Hands Up” dance gets you in the best spirits, this high energy group is honestly the best medicine daily. Btw, typo from before, Bill our dancing with the stars couples, wife is named Linda, not Connie. As I shared they are from Calgary and she will be going home to freezing cold temperatures. I had a few Tru47 items left. I went to say bye to them, gave her literature about the science behind Silver and this brilliant company. I gifted her a mask & a scarf. I told them how much fun we had getting to know them, we hugged good- bye and if you can imagine she started to cry before me, this of course put me over the edge in hysterics. Her husband hugged me too. They had such nice farewell comments to say. She even offered to pay for the mask, I was like no, just spread the word. Turns out she is a business coach for retail stores. We exchanged numbers and email. Im constantly planting seeds. 🙂
Back to Crazy Signs, Jules and I dance off our tushes in the pool together. I head back to the room to shower, Catherine has just landed. I pack up and get all dressed in normal clothes. Perfect timing- she arrives as I am wheeling my suitcase to the front desk to settle up my bill. We all meet at the dining with cocktails and to have lunch the 3 of us together. We FaceTime Cathy’s mom, send our 3some photos home to our family text. Its crazy we are switching places. They had my yummy Grilled Swai fish for my last meal. Lol- a poor starving child, I sound like…ha ha cracking myself up as I type those words.
I find Diane to get a photo of her, Jules & I, she is the sweetest, tells me I have a beautiful Aura and wishes me well. Was so thankful for all the Tru products, she has a 5000 people site she will share it on. We make our way down to the water sports area so I can say bye and get a group photo. Again water works and hugs. Julie had warned them all I would probably cry. Paola assured me we will all see each other again. They are all so sweet in their words of gratitude for the weeks experience and getting to know each other on such deep levels. I thanked them all for adding SO much richness to my life in there open sharing of the lives they live.
I had been so bummed I couldn’t find Mitch or Paco, on the way out I see Mitch, I run and embrace him with a hug and a last photo too. I thanked him for being my dance buddy on the dance floor. He has a tattoo from The Little Prince book, when he sees my tears, he shared he cries like me. All these feeling men, just love it!! We became FB friends so we can stay up to date when he gets promoted or switches to a new property. Julie & I have promised once he is Chief of his own village we will for sure be coming. This is a goal of his, in perhaps 5 more years he will get it. He already sent me a PM with such sweet words, as well I received a PM from Malissa too.
Julie & Catherine and I do some photo shoots, and they walk me back to the main gate for my farewell. Julie and I have our usual full tearful embrace good bye. We really had such a delightful 9 days together. She is one of my favorite people on earth, and I am truly SO proud of the woman she has become. Thank you Grandma Doris/ Grandpa Murray , our moms & dads for creating this crew that has lead me to my incredible cousins. I feel SO lucky to have such a strong unbreakable bond to this family! Have loved the non stop texts on our group messages.
Audra was the exit CM friend to get me settled on my shuttle, we too had to take a photo. I cried staring out the window to the airport staying focused in this present moment! Its a constant practice, which I am becoming much more aware of constantly. An Argentinian family is on shuttle with me, leaving too, they are also sad. Seriously no one is happy to be leaving. Its quite comical in hindsight now that Im typing on the plane and doing okay! Happy to be on a plane- I LOVE flying!
I video taped and shot some great pics out the window of taking off, its a dreamy landscape from the sky. Had an entire row to myself for the short flight to Miami. My dad taught us well with 5 star travel perks/tips, as Global Entry & TSA pre- check is the way to go. I was shocked I only had to scan my face, not even my passport. The world knows my face. The machine in 2 seconds printed out my name, birthdate, passport # and I was on my way through customs in 4 minutes flat. Upon entry to the main terminal, staring at me was a Nathan’s Hot Dogs, my dads favorite- healthy meal, lol. I figured it was his greeting for me and indulged in my last yummy meal! Can we say Oink Oink 🐷, with a coke, no less!
Boarded plane, first full flight on this entire journey. My middle seat mate is the last Bonus to this journey, leave it to me to sit next to this guy. Tall, 6 ft skinny African guy named Aziz from Niger originally, he is 35 a pisces, now living in Atlanta for 10 years, but his job projects take him to new states every 4 months. He served 9 years in the US Army to get disciplined, it changed his life, in a very good way, he shared. He had 2 deployments to Afghanistan , in 2014 and 2019. One lasted 7 months, the other 9 months. He got an AA and BS degree in industrial engineering, the military paid for 70% of his education. He went to Indiana & Purdue, smart guy!! He just spent 1 month back home in Niger, Africa with his dad and some siblings. He showed me SO many photos, a map, as I had no idea where in the world Niger is. He just bought 5 acres of land, 2 cows, and has these unique looking Half black half white lambs, like no joke, half the body is one color/ half the other. He shared this whole concept called Aquaponics, I had never heard of it. Its a way to grow organic vegetables through water that thrives on the fishes poop. Very interesting bizarre, yet extremely healthy & sustainable way for foods to be super organically grown, all natural without pesticides, GMOS, etc. I can imagine Woodley doing it. He says you can do it anywhere, showed me a site called Aquaponics for beginners with photos. Fascinating!
His job in engineering has to do with creating the software and infrastructures that make amazon work. He truly intrigued me. He has hopes and dreams to build a 5 star bungalows on this new African land, with a dining area in the middle of property and make his 5 acres of land a resort, as its in The Sahara Desert part of Africa on the Niger river surrounded by beautiful river views. He showed me first pictures of this land parcel, he is so proud of purchasing. GO Aziz is all I can say!! Holy wow! I told him all about Paola’s story, and shared many of my photos. He was jealous and said it looks like my adventures beat his, I told him to me, its all relative! I want to explore everywhere! One of his brothers went to Paris for his accounting education and another sister got her education in Indiana as well. There are 8 kids total. Im super amazed by the drive, determination, and success these people work towards in America coming from Foreign places!
I have always had an African or South African safari on my bucket list…..I’m hopeful it can be sooner rather than later. We actually discussed the Covid situation in Niger. What the protocol was to travel there & back, etc. He too, had to be tested to travel and return. Im telling you, I know its a personal preference and a controversial topic, but sitting next to this guy, we are both masked, recently tested, with all the protocols in place I feel VERY safe to be traveling, cant wait to go away again! We had an interesting chat about how only elderly people in his country wear masks, only young people wear them if visiting elderly. They all are healthy because they eat all fresh foods grown on their land, he said if you eat a chicken, it has just walked in front of you and been killed on the spot and cooked. It doesn’t get fresher than that, along with grown leafs in there own personal gardens on there lands. Its a real preventative way of living a healthy lifestyle. I told him my motto is, “ Food is Medicine”. Not the daily grilled cheeses(lol), but you know what I mean. He also believes we need to be exposed to germs, bacteria etc to build our immune systems naturally., cant agree more!! He told me how many diseases and illnesses have been in Africa, which in return has made them have stronger immune systems and more aware of these healthy lifestyle ways of beings.
It brought up all the alternative medicine knowledge that seeps through my veins and I shared homeopathy and my fathers background. How I grew up in a house that this was the way we were treated and learned all about, especially my daily exposure to all the medical miracles, I was blessed to witness and learn from. It was a meant to be seat mate for me upon re-entry for sure! I shared my fruit mentos with him and told him I knew he was meant to be a part of my journey today. The human race continues to enlighten me…..35 with a Condo in Atlanta, 2 parcels of land in Niger, and in the process of buying a home in Goodyear, before heading to Sacramento for his next 4 month gig. WOWEE!!
Watched the classic, “When Harry Met Sally” and took a nap. Walked out of airport in AZ and FROZE!! I got a sweet message from Malissa, they made it home to NY too! Exchanged numbers with Aziz, if anyone wants to go to Niger one day…..Africa will await. Im safely home in my bed!
Thanks for virtually coming on my journey with me….until Dora’s next Adventure! Hugs & Kisses
Love Laurie Sue
PS. I read on the plane Jon Gordons 50 lessons for Life….a few worth sharing, if you would like some added positivity to start the day. I enjoyed all 50 , but a few favs to share…..
- Do your best and let G-D do the rest. I used to worry so much. When I stopped worrying and started trusting things worked out
- keep dreaming even when your circumstances tell you its not going to happen
- your belief will determine what you create
- Garth Brooks was right. Some of G-ds greatest gifts are unanswered prayers( I cant agree more with u Jon Gorgon)
- abundance flows into your life when gratitude flows out of your heart!
- The best is still yet to come!!

DEAREST LAURIE,
WHAT OVERWHELMS ME WHEN I READ YOUR WRITING IS HOW POWERFUL AND STRONG AND INTENSE AND DETAILED YOUR MIND AND HEART REALLY ARE. IT IS EXTRAORDINARY TO SEE THE WORLD THROUGH YOUR EYES, LITERALLY AND FIGURATIVELY. IT’S LIKE LOOKING THROUGH A KALEIDOSCOPE, AND HAVING EVERY COLOR AND SHAPE MOVE AND THEN HAVING YOU EXPLAIN THEIR RELATIONSHIPS AND PLACEMENT TO ME. YOUR GIFT IS LITERALLY EXPLAINING THE WORLD TO ME FROM 35,000 FEET, AND THEN FROM THE VIEW OF A MICROSCOPE. INTO PEOPLE’S MINDS AND HEARTS. YOU CAN ONLY DO THIS BECAUSE YOU ARE SO IN TOUCH WITH YOUR CORE SELF, I KNOW THAT SOMETIMES YOU MAY FEEL LIKE THE UNIVERSE WANTS YOU TO SHIVER, BUT IT WILL ALSO SOMETIMES MAKE YOUR HEART MELT. I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU THAT THIS TRAVEL EXPERIENCE WAS SO MARVELOUS. I WISH YOU MORE AND MORE MARVELOUS TRAVELS…luv, ldb
Michael
