New England Summer……Take 2

posted in: Uncategorized | 13

Not sure how 1 week has already flown by?! I’m all settled, back in my exact apartment as last year in Portland, Maine. This is truly my happy place on earth. I love the vibe, the people, the gorgeous scenery, the laid back town, the red brick buildings, and the most perfect weather. I feel truly blessed to have the best remote job that allows me the freedom to live this way. It feels like everyday is a vacation even while working 9- 10 hour days.

Checkout the PairTree podcast, Modern Adoption by Jess & Erin on apple or spotify. I was just interviewed about Self- Care in the Adoption Constellation, so fun!

One of the best perks….being on the East coast time zone, I’m lucky to not start my work days until 10am. I have been walking 6-7 miles a day, starting my days on the Eastern Promenade trail by the water early. The sail boats floating on the calm water look like a painting. I simply cannot get enough photos, yet they don’t do it justice. You gotta be here to take in these views. The cobblestone streets of the Old Port area make me feel like Im living in such a historical place. I have a few different spots I work from so far…..a couple hotel lobby’s and coffee shops. I have been cooking at home and trying to eat healthy. I have only had my addictive donuts one time and have yet to enjoy a lobster roll. Im trying to be more controlled this time in the eating dept. I did go by my fav bakery with the BEST blueberry muffins, but refrained, It will be a reward if/when I lose another pound. A very hard task these days, lol. I did go to my farmers market on Wednesday to buy fresh eggs, arugula, and strawberries. So yummy! This weekend is the Old Port 5K that I signed up for…..It is the half marathon event at the same time, so this city/town is excited. Supposed to be a big party.

My first visitor arrives on June 14th. Stay tuned for more adventures when something exciting to report. Otherwise its normal life just relocated to paradise in New England. Pinch me! Living my dream life. I say if you have never been to Portland, it is a must visit place in the USA. Sharing some pictures…..

Good for you! Have a fantastic summer. Better than AZ at 117 degrees. I tried to get to every state when I lived in Cherry Hill, NJ. My two favorite cities were Portland, Maine and Portland, Oregon which has huge mountains covered in trees and lots of beautiful waterfalls. Happy trails to you!

there are those that have day dreams, the unconscious sleep-dreams and for a very few, (like you!!). those ‘living’ their dreams.. I have no doubt living your dream is something that you really wanted but never thought possible.
So: Thank you for including all of your friends and loved ones into your dream-world.
