A Peaceful Paradise Day!!

Our most Zen day yet! Julie is a wheeler & dealer on these work calls, its how I start my days. Laying in bed checking my emails while she has these work calls. She talks big number deals with mostly all men, she is definitely a tough girl, living in a man’s world! Holds her own, super assertive, and is beyond impressive to listen to her negotiating skills. The result of growing up with 3 older brothers, she is a Rockstar!! 

We ventured out at 10 am, due to it being another rainy/cloudy day, the dining room stays open later. We got a spinach/mushroom cheese scramble to share, the best egg dish yet. I have perfected how to drink coffee here and enjoy our breakfast on the patio staring at the bright turquoise water in the distance. The contrast of the water today with the white sand is illuminating due to the dark grey puffy clouds. It was another PRICELESS moment. Pinch me!! We reread the day before blog entry and laugh. Always recalling things left out, like Bill in our favorite dance couple duo’s red pants. They truly tear up the dance floor at night- should be on dancing with the stars. I actually asked her how she learned to dance so good. I may take up dance lessons upon return. Her key is knowing the basics to the Hustle, Salsa , and i forget if she said the Swing or Tango?

The Ohio people we have met are people we got into this convo with, as well people dancing from Mass, otherwise its been SO nice to have NO covid Convos at all,  I must say. 

We found our spot by the pool for the morning, Jules had more work calls that she needed quiet time, I read my book, listened to Gedale, and my weekly Thehighwire.com Del Bigtree show. It has been an educational, informative, relaxing, peaceful day to say the least. No real activities. So grateful we planned an extra day/night, by far not ready to leave!! It stayed cloudy with a breeze, the pumping party music is constant, Zumba is going on and we are awaiting our fun”Crazy Signs” activity. Our body’s are both achy, we think its from the trapeze. The abs that are non-existent in my body have strained. Every time you sit up- you oow and awe in pain, lol Massages on tap for tomorrow. We lounged by the pool all day, went for a quick bite for lunch, nothing big- whose hungry? I saw Jenny at lunch, who requested I air drop her all the sailing day photos and video footage of JoJo. There are these 2 NJ guys who put there white sunscreen on there face without rubbing it in or its the Zinc kind- not sure, but we constantly wonder if the know what their faces look like, it has become our running joke. 

Around 3 we migrated out to the beach, its so breezy and a little Island chill. We went for a long beach walk, passing a few other hotels, and really like the fact that CM has the largest beach strand. The Long Island girls, you know the pool jumpers on a wild night, chat it up. They have been coming here since 1993, she says its like reliving her childhood, younger years. They love to party. I heard her say she is a grandma, yet she looks great, wears a bikini, must have had kids young, cause honestly I think she cant be older then late 50’s. They drink beer and dance on the beach, having the best time. So nice to see, you never have to grow up, age is just a number. We are beyond present, truly living in the moment daily. Im writing this the next day as I couldn’t write at bed time like usual and I cant believe Im leaving tomorrow. Julie is seriously considering staying. 

Jules went for a run, I stayed on the beach until 5:45 pm, watching the sunset, having an emotional magical moment. Read a lot of my book today, not my usual type of book as it was a gift, but its interesting. Called “The Storytellers Secret”, takes place in India. A place on my bucket list to explore. Fascinated by the Hindu culture. It wouldn’t be a sunset without a grilled cheese and cocktail from Sharkie’s. With the live band playing, once again Sweet Caroline. This is the life!!

We venture back to the room to shower and get ready for the night, theme is Glow Party. A hot hot shower is always the best treat after a sandy beach day, and upon entry to our ice box room. We didn’t bring fluorescent clothes , but improvised. Another wild night out. These evening shows/entertainment is what makes CM better then Disneyland as a kid. Seriously its the greatest energy that is guaranteed to put a smile on anyones face. Make our way to dinner, upgraded to a bottle of Pinot with dinner tonight. Now its show time. We meet up with our friendly GO favorites. Julio, Charlie, and Paolo.

Okay, I learned Paola story- i was mouth dropped by how people live life. This guy grew up between Montreal & the States, yet he is Mexican from Guadalajara, has dual citizenship of Mexico and Canada, with a permit to the US. His grandfather was Jewish, so he chose to serve 2 years in the IDF in Israel. Because he had a passport from Mexico, they assigned him crazy jobs in the army. He did missions in Egypt, Syria, and Jordan. We spoke all about Israel. He also has an undergrad degree and Masters from UCLA. He went there on a full ride Soccer scholarship. Talk about determined smart freaking individuals! He is only 28 years old, a Sagittarius. He has worked at 10 different CM properties, one being in Bali. He only arrived here 4 days ago and is staying for 2.5 months as he was here to help open it back up. His job back in Montreal has recently changed, he was burnt out from his Commercial Analyst job working long hours and watching co-workers get divorced etc. Knew he wanted more from life. His family in Mexico started a Stem Cell business and he is growing the referral base from Canada to send them to Mexico for these innovative miraculous medical procedures. Our conversation was all over the place on many topics, as you can imagine. What a brilliant brain for a young guy. And he is a great dancer too. These guys are SO cute, they watch you tube videos to perfect there sexy moves. Julio shared his story too, he was the Circus Manager and tore his ACL, hence why he is the sailor now. Paola and I were convincing him to try Stem Cell injections. Just love hanging out carefree with lovely humans. Steph, these guys remind me of our incredible balinese men we befriended in Amed & Lovina. 

We got our close up table at the show…..a Lion King/ Africa told story with dancers all in fluorescent yellow & pink costumes glowing in the dark while they performed. Another great show. Best part is how they get us all up afterwards to dance. Almost like line dancing with moves to copy. The Hands up song is my favorite! Its like being at a constant Bat- Mitzvah or Wedding! We laugh, sing, dance, and love every moment. Jules is on a mission to get Matt & Cathy to come here for a week. She does not want to leave. 

Our party migrates to the main bar, alcohol is on board again for tye night and the dancing is in full force. I actually made it out for last call tonight and Julie and I both got home together for the first time. I usually am in bed at midnight writing while she party’s. Tonight we both stay out until 1am. I met this great group from Massachusetts, they were fun. Nick sounds like a total Bostonian, Andrew is a party older guy, they are with siblings, and couples, a group of 10. Again a crew who has been coming yearly for 15 years all together. Andrew was intrigued by us, wanted to know our relation, where you from, all the usual questions. Said he has seen us around, oy! The night ended with the magical moon glowing from the sky over this blue pool at Turkoise CM! We made our way home…..both passed out fast tonight. 

Im typing this up on the Sharkie’s patio after eating pancakes and drinking coffee. Julie had her 8:30 massage already while I slept until 930. Im again, not drinking tonight, as I cant feel this way for a travel day. Out of 7 nights, impressed I only have had 2 hangovers, lol. My massage is scheduled for 3:30 outside beachside, will be over just in time for my last sunset. If anyone is interested in a week at Turks, I honestly think its possible Julie will be here if you want to join her. 

A perfect sunny beach day awaits my toes submerging themselves in the sand. Wish you were all here. Hugs and kisses! Love always Me
