All Packed….10 hours and counting until Take Off✈️

Yes, i am very excited to escape my reality and be transformed into my better half as Dora the Explorer! Im going to bed early to be well rested for my 3am wake up. As I lay here in my bed im remembering my last trip to Honolulu/Oahu.

The year was 1984, I was 10 years old and it was a most memorable family vacation just the 5 of us. Those were the days of gigantic video cameras. My dad carried it with us everywhere we went. Filming us on the plane, in the hotel room, touring all the major sights, pineapple factories, swinging on bamboo trees, walking through grocery stores, trying to crack open a coconut, etc. We were 3 famous girls followed around with our paparazzi father. The memories made on that trip have stuck with me for a lifetime as we have rewatched the family home videos constantly, as i must say we were very entertaining children. I have made this particular footage into DVDs, which we 4 each own. If anyone of you have interest we call it the “Hawaii Garbage video”. Jackie has a stellar line where she says in her cute 8 yr old voice” this is garbage”, after biting into a room service english muffin that must have cost a fortune at the Hallukilani hotel in Waikiki Beach. I am throwing bacon around the room, while Terri is sipping coffee at 2 am Hawaii time after sleeping through a first class flight. Yes we were spoiled humble sweet girls, most of the time well behaved yet in hotel rooms we acted like children. Omg……the good ol days. 🙂 I looked like a boy(short hair), but was super skinny, terri had big teeth, jackie was a cabbage patch cute little thing. I could seriously tell this story with much more detail but dont want to bore you before the real fun blog entries get started. LOL

So since my travel adventure blog is dedicated to my Daddy I thought why not start it off this time with a Bruce story. I know he will show me his presence on this trip because we shared such meaningful times on this Island together. I totally remember following him around the wine part of the grocery story and mispronouncing the wine Maui Blanc, saying Maui Blank…..ha ha….

Let the new adventures begin in the morning! Flight takes off for LAX at 6 am, i will join the birthday girl , Sari and we will continue on our way to PARADISE!! Pinch me…….So excited can hardly wait 🤩

Also thank you to my blog fan club readers…..I love all encouragement and excitement I receive as ive been looking forward to having down time to write, one of my favorite things to do. Looking forward to the Ocean Air, tropical scenery, cocktails, relaxation, and time to read. Great company and good times! Always sending love ❤️
